Discover the most expensive resort on Earth used to cost $100,000/night

The most expensive resort in the world is the Banwa Private Island resort, which opened in 2019 in the Palawan island of the Philippines. It costs 100,000 USD per night to stay there.

There are 6 beach houses at this resort. Each unit has one to four beds and can sleep a total of 48 people. Each unit has its own infinity pool and Jacuzzi tub.

The resort has its own team of chefs who use fish caught in the waters around the island and veggies grown on the resort’s own organic farm. The resort also has a 9-hole golf course, a tennis area, a spa, and a gym that is fully stocked.

Visitors to Banwa Private Island can also do things like kayaking, scuba diving, and take scuba diving tours with some of the best Filipino diving teachers.

At night, people can go looking and see the Milky Way in one of the best places in the world to do so because there isn’t much light pollution.

When it first opened, the resort only rented out the whole area for a minimum of 3–5 nights, based on the time of year. This meant that a vacation here could cost between $300,000 and $500,000 USD. But this price doesn’t include transportation costs like 990 USD/way for a 9-seat seaplane or 11,580 USD/round trip for a 5-seater chopper.

After the Cσvid-19 pαndemic shut down the island in 2020, it reopened in May 2021. The price at Banwa Private Island dropped to 45,000 USD per night. But guests still have to stay at least 3 nights, which means that the whole island costs about $135,000 to rent. At the moment, people can rent individual houses for a minimum of three nights for a starting price of $2,500 per night. This means that they still have to spend about $7,500.
