Visit Isle of Pines – New Caledonia’s most famous destination that captivate all the heart of travellers

The Isle of Pines is one of the South Pacific’s best kept secrets, which is a good thing! This small French island is without a doubt New Caledonia’s most picturesque. It’s like a postcard, with clean beaches surrounded by gorgeous pine trees, palm palms, and warm blue waters teeming with colorful coral and fish. For several days, my Instagram feed looked fantastic!

If you are intending to visit the capital city of Noumea in New Caledonia, a day trip to this island is a must. During an Air New Zealand islands promotion, I found cheap flights to Noumea from Auckland. Direct flights to Noumea are also available from Australia, Japan, and other South Pacific islands.

Activities on the Isle of Pines

The Isle of Pines is a spot where you might easily spend a few days doing nothing but relaxing, swimming, and admiring your resort’s magnificent surroundings. If you want to go exploring, you can take short walks or rent a bike or automobile. Bikes can be rented by the half day from Gite Nataiwatch campground near Kanumera Bay (so arrive first thing in the morning or first thing in the afternoon). Car rental is available through Hotel Kou Bungy.
